What are the local sources of news?

Filed under: Tidbits — Chris @ 1:52 pm

Since the Richmond News Review is all about covering news and opinion happening in the area, we thought it would be useful to take a look at what sources of news there are for Richmond, and how they operate. We already discussed whether or not the RNR itself is a source of news, so we'll leave ourselves out of this inventory.

RNR is getting some R and R

Filed under: About the Show — Chris @ 6:55 pm

The Richmond News Review is on break for a week or so. We're enjoying some time to step back and think about what we've done so far, and what segments, interviews and other "features" we can bring to the show. While we're away, please feel free to comment on any of the existing episode posts, write in with your feedback, or call our Listener Feedback Line at (765) 997-1727 and leave a comment there (and all of these get you entered for our iPod Nano Giveaway). Thanks for listening, we'll be back soon!

Rich Jackson speaks about his firing from the Pal-Item

Filed under: Tidbits — Chris @ 6:13 pm

Rich Jackson was interviewed about his firing from the Palladium-Item for an article in Editor & Publisher, which brings the local personnel issue into the national spotlight of media matters. We've mentioned Jackson's departure from the Pal-Item here previously, but this is the first public comment we know of from either party involved in the matter.
