In this episode: a parade to remind us of the good in our community, an interview with local author Jean Harper about her past and present in Richmond, concerns about local water quality, and this week's featured blogger. Plus we'll remind you of some ways you can support the Richmond News Review, if you like what we're doing here. Read more below for links from this episode. Enjoy!

I'm excited about this podcast as one form of a new kind of alternative media appearing in our community. I hope that it's a contribution to a larger trend toward citizen-journalism that balances and complements our existing sources of news and opinion.
This website will be the base of operations for RNR - it will be updated at least every time there is a new episode, and I also hope to post various thoughts about the production of the show (since I believe it's the first of its kind in our area) and other tidbits of news and notes throughout the week.
Thanks for tuning in. If you have comments or suggestions, please feel free to post them here, or send them to letters@richmondnewsreview.com.
